Flynn’s vision delivers Amazon; Rebuilds 1500 jobs for Oxnard

I’m Oxnard Mayor Tim Flynn. My top priority in my campaign for Supervisor is to rebuild jobs that have been lost in this pandemic.

So I am ecstatic that Amazon is bringing 1500 jobs to Oxnard. Oxnard is getting these jobs thanks to my push for Amazon’s headquarters three years ago.

I knew that getting the headquarters was going to be tough. Some people said that Oxnard should not even try. But I recognized that the Amazon competition was an amazing opportunity to market our city’s assets.

So our team produced an eye-catching proposal. We showed Amazon that we had the site, the port, and easy freeway access. We also had great weather, affordable housing, and hard-working residents.

And while Amazon chose to put their headquarters in Virginia, they remembered Oxnard. They liked what they saw. And now we are getting 1,500 jobs with benefits for our community. Our outstanding city manager, Alexander Nguyen, kept the project on track and achieved a great win for Oxnard.

That’s how we are going to rebuild jobs in Oxnard. We will seize the opportunity. We will prioritize good pay and benefits. And if we get knocked back we will keep pushing.

As Supervisor I will use this proven strategy. We will market our community to new employers. We live in one of the greatest places in California. We Believe in Oxnard.

So help me Rebuild, Reinvest, Revitalize our economy. Vote Tim Flynn for Supervisor.

I do feel you got a little too excited with your statement on affordable housing 🤔

I doubt Amazon will be paying its workers the necessary wages to afford our regions housing/rental costs.
