OXNARD, Calif., FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, August 5, 2020 – Longtime mayor and council member gets Chamber nod for Board of Supervisors
The Oxnard Chamber of Commerce and its Political Action Committee have endorsed the candidacy of Tim Flynn for Ventura County Supervisor in the 5th District. Tim's previous service to the city of Oxnard came in the form of a council member six years and mayor for the past eight years.
Mr. Flynn's approach to economic development and job creation in Oxnard and the County set his candidacy apart from his opponent. His interest in the redevelopment of Channel Islands Harbor and the surrounding area is in line with the Oxnard Chamber's priorities. He believes that economic vitality in Ventura County should have the same focus as other top priorities like public safety and the County health system.
Mr. Flynn's other priorities include addressing the housing crisis in the County and the State of California and ending chronic homelessness through increased mental health services.
The Oxnard Chamber of Commerce encourages residents to thoroughly research all of the candidates and issues that will appear on the November 3, 2020 ballot.
